Summer Sun & Fun – School is out and vacation plans are on the horizon. Summer activities - whether close to home or abroad - provide opportunity to explore the outdoors outside and experience new events upon which language can be developed. Picnics, camping, swimming, running through the sprinkler, visiting the splashpad, daycamp, ice cream, freezies, popsicles, campfires, hotdogs, smores…are just a few to get started. As you make lists, shop, pack suitcases, make summertime treats and prepare for summer activities talk to your child. These comments and conversations will enrich your child’s language and sharing in the fun together will create lasting memories.
